Since my early days at IBM, I've come
across an impressive number of buzzwords. I thought
I'd seen it all during the dot.com frenzy and I've
become more cautious about any name or concept
supposed to revolutionize our lives.
However, over the past 4 years or so, I've
witnessed "Web 2.0" become an increasingly popular
concept, together with the emergence of new
technologies, business models, sites and services,
etc. So I've decided to dig deeper and try to
understand the phenomenon by researching and
analyzing all the sources I could get my hands on,
in order to figure out what the opportunities are
for current and potential businesses.
My modest ambition here is just to present some
of the sources, resources and services I find useful
; you might want to learn more about the whole thing
and, in that case, be prepared to surf a lot, read a
lot and spend a considerable amount of time doing
so: it seems that a lot of people are willing to
offer their view on the subject... Maybe I should
just go ahead too and start my own blog (Web 2.0
style) to participate: I already have a few names in
mind for it: "It's not Youtube" (www.itsnotyoutube.com),
"It's not Web 2.0" (www.itsnotweb20.com),
"It's not Facebook" (www.itsnotfacebook.com),
etc.
Anyway, to get you started and until I find the
time to populate that section (anytime soon), you
can have a look at the following:
